Meet the founder

Steven Mendel and Guy Farley co-founded ManyPets in 2012, launching their first pet insurance policy in 2017 after listening to thousands of pet parents – and finding out existing pet insurance wasn’t working for them. ManyPets goes beyond just insurance, offering customers a variety of services including vet video calling and discounts on flea, tick and worming treatment, all underpinned with best-in-class customer service, which now covers over 500,000 pets around the world.

Why we invested

Every pet parent knows that sinking feeling when a pet becomes unwell – worrying about their health is bad enough, without the added question marks of potential cost and outcomes. We were impressed with Steven and Guy’s user-first approach, collecting feedback from thousands of pet owners before creating policies to fit. They were putting their customers first and showed a real commitment to making their lives better. We were pleased to invest in them initially in 2016, and have had the privilege to invest multiple times since.
