Matthew Chandlar
Matt focuses on all things consumer, with a particular interest in companies that improve broader society – not just customers’ lives.
He worked as a commercial associate at True, a retail and consumer sector specialist investor and innovation consultant, before joining Octopus Ventures in 2021. At True, he targeted early stage investments in consumer tech and B2B software, and advised multi-national retailers on digital strategy.
Matt’s also a former founder. He previously launched Mojo, a consumer SaaS platform for the beauty and wellness industry, with Octopus Ventures’ Nicholas Sando.
Matt is a graduate of the Nottingham University Business School.
Outside of work, he’s an unprolific footballer, nervous skier, occasional painter and avid backgammon player.
