Emma Davies
Emma joined Octopus Ventures as joint chief executive officer in 2021 to lead the team with Alliott Cole.
She brought with her a wealth of experience, expertise and networks from world-class investment houses including JP Morgan, Perry Capital and the UK’s largest charitable foundation, the Wellcome Trust. Most recently, she spent five years as a partner at Marylebone Partners, building and leading its direct investing capability. Emma has an acute understanding of growing and managing teams while achieving strong investment returns.
Emma was the founding chief investment officer at Big Society Capital. She’s particularly interested in ESG and impact considerations and believes passionately that the best entrepreneurs will build businesses that are a force for good. She sits on the board of the Rose Review and is a director of Octopus Investments’ Future Generations VCT.
She has an MA from the University of Oxford and an MSc from London School of Economics.
