Renée Godyn
Renée joined the Fintech team in 2022, bringing with her a keen interest in blockchain, insurance, financial services and climate risk.
Before joining, Renée spent three years at MuleSoft-Salesforce where she got to grips with the complexity and nuance of B2B enterprise SaaS sales across multiple geographies. She worked alongside the C-suite and tech leaders at some of the world’s largest enterprises to help them identify and meet their business goals through adopting an agile API and integration strategy.
Renée also has experience as a founder. Ahead of joining the MuleSoft team, she co-founded a company in the supply chain space, leveraging blockchain as a means for greater transparency and traceability. It was an intense boot camp in the do’s and don’ts of starting a business, and she emerged with a clear understanding of what an ambitious early stage enterprise needs to do. At Octopus Ventures, she’s thrilled to be bringing these insights to bear on world-changing businesses from the other side of the investment table.
Outside work, she can be found cooking, painting and exercising (including a two-and-a-half month stint training in Kung Fu at a secluded mountain retreat in Thailand). Whatever she’s doing, chances are there’ll be music playing.
