Zoe Reich
Former founder and deep tech specialist Zoe joined Octopus Ventures in 2021, and heads our Deep Tech pre-seed fund for early stage companies.
She has previously managed eight early stage funds focused on supporting the best of Deep Tech from UK universities, investing from proof of concept through to series B.
They include seed funds she launched at Imperial College London in 2021 and vehicles managed by the University of Oxford and the government-backed Development Bank of Wales.
In total, Zoe has made over 60 deep tech investments in a broad spectrum of sub-sectors, from biotech to cleantech and advanced engineering.
In 2019, Zoe created her own startup, Martingale Advisors, which built and sold a cryptocurrency exchange to a Hong Kong-based financial services institution.
Zoe has also served as a startup mentor at an incubator in Alacrity, Wales, and as a startup coach at Saïd Business School.
She loves sports, including climbing and mountaineering, and is a competitive power lifter.
